"See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore he would give to your fathers - to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - and to their descendants after them."

Why 365?

Every meaningful step Journey Church has taken over the past seventeen years has begun the same way - with one simple prayer: "Lord, what are You saying to Your Church?"

Over the past several months, we have been asking the Lord that very question as we've sought His direction for the next season before us.

As we prayed, we became increasingly convinced that God is calling us to make more room. Room for more people to encounter His presence, more lives to be transformed by the Gospel, and for our church family to continue growing deeper in faith, community, and purpose.

In that process, we realized something beautiful: God had already provided the room before He asked us to make it. Years ago, He placed 365 South Lincoln Drive - a 20-acre property - into our hands. Looking back now, we can clearly see His faithfulness long before we ever fully understood His purpose.

Today, our prayer is that we wouldn't see 365 as land waiting for another building, but as room for more lives to be changed by Jesus. More children discovering God's love. More students finding purpose. More families being restored. More people growing in authentic community. More opportunities to serve our city. More opportunities to encounter God's presence in deeper and more meaningful ways.

This has never been about building a bigger church.

It has always been about making more room for people to encounter God.

Turning Points

(Click on each box below to explore our history.)

June 7, 2009
First Journey Church service in Bonfils Auditorium with 61 people in attendance.

30 people gave their lives to Jesus within our first summer together. Church events, bible studies, baptisms, Journey Youth, and even worship rehearsal began happening in homes throughout the area.
October 3, 2010
Moved from Bonfils Auditorium into a rented facility on John Deere Drive.

At this location, God continued to bring more people into our church family. Weekend gatherings began to consistently welcome more than 300 people. Many gave their lives to Christ, were baptized, found community, and grew in their faith!
February 7, 2016
First service of our current campus at 366 South Lincoln Drive.

This became our first official home! Since then, our weekend attendance has nearly doubled, leading us to grow our discipleship methods as we still see many people come to know, grow, and multiply their faith.
June 15, 2018
Journey Church launched the Troy Dream Center.

The TDC opened as the area's only men's-focused addiction recovery home. To date, over 60 people have completed the program. It has established itself as a beacon of hope in the community, expanding into both a men's and women's program, with each having its own properties.
December 31, 2020
Purchased the north lot and Troy Tire properties to expand parking capacity.

The street-to-seat experience for all who attend our services was greatly improved with the addition of these two areas.
April 16, 2022
Added a third Sunday morning service.

As the Lord continued to move in people's lives and bring them to us, our lobby, auditorium, and kids spaces began to fill to levels that limited our abilities to serve even more.
October 10, 2023
Purchased 365 South Lincoln Drive in anticipation of expanding the impact of Journey Church.

The acquisition of 17 acres of property, located directly across the street from our current campus, began the journey to this campaign.
Over the last seventeen years, Journey Church has discovered that every turning point has been less about buildings and more about God shaping His people. Looking back, our story is one of God's faithfulness - expanding our capacity, refining our priorities, and continually inviting us to trust Him with the next "yes." Along the way, we've learned that growth requires stewardship, surrender, and faith, and that every opportunity God gives us exists not for our glory, but so more people can encounter the hope, healing, and purpose found in Jesus Christ.

Believe 365

We believe the Lord's heart and vision for this property will be shown through our core values by being:

(Click on each box below for further explanation)

A place where grace welcomes and the light of Jesus shines brightly.
That those who are lost in this community would be drawn to experience the acceptance of a Savior who loves them. We are believing for thousands upon thousands of people to know and grow in their relationship with Jesus here.
A place where the presence of God is reflected by the people who share His mission.
That this place would become known not for the name Journey Church, but for the unmistakable presence of Jesus. May every life changed, every prayer answered, and every miracle experienced point people to the glory of God alone. And that we, as the church, would extend His care to all who cross the threshold of this campus.
A place where honor leads to legacy.
For generational unity that will lead to generational blessing. That this will be a place where faith is passed from one generation to the next, where Christ is at the center of every home, and where spiritual fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters are raised up to encourage and strengthen those who need a family of faith. May the legacy built here outlive all of us.
A place where growth turns to 'go'.
Where disciples become difference-makers. Healthy growth always leads outward. We see a church that will equip and release people to serve our city, impact their workplaces, love their neighbors, and carry the Gospel to the ends of the earth as pastors, teachers, missionaries, evangelists, and everyday ambassadors for Christ.
A place where prayer moves Heaven.
That this be a house where prayer is our first response and faith is our expectation. We ask God for undeniable miracles, healing, freedom, salvation, and restored lives - not only within these walls, but wherever the people of Journey Church are sent.
A place built by the generosity of willing hearts.
We believe God accomplishes His vision through people who faithfully respond to His leading. As each person gives of their time, talents, and resources as the Holy Spirit directs, may this campus stand as a testimony that extraordinary things are built through ordinary people who trust an extraordinary God.

Site Plan

Expanded Lobby
First impressions are everything.

A larger space for people to meet and greet each other, find fellowship, and have access to resources is an important part of why we're looking to expand.
Auditorium Experience
Space is not just about the number of seats; it's also about time. With a larger capacity auditorium, we anticipate giving our services more room for worship, the Word, and response.
Journey Kids Wing
Growth is about more than age. Our kids are one of the highest priorities of our ministry. Additional rooms will let us give more attention and focus to each stage of our children's spiritual development.

Journey to 365

Partnership

This effort will require all of us to exceed in our trust, faith, and wisdom. As you and your family begin to discern your commitment gift, we encourage you to:

  • Count the cost: As you prayerfully consider your participation, ask: "What would it look like for me to give my largest gift to God through this church?"
  • Pray and seek: Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your commitment, giving you wisdom, faith, and peace as you discern your response.
  • Prepare to sacrifice: Consider how your household can faithfully participate. Include your family in the conversation and allow this season to build a legacy of generosity.
  • Consider your options: Plan your giving in the way that best fits your family. Whether through recurring online gifts, cash or check, or a three-year commitment, consistency allows generosity to grow over time.
  • Free up resources: Prayerfully consider reducing expenses, delaying purchases, or creating new opportunities to give as God leads.
  • Make your commitment: After seeking God together, respond in faith by making your pledge. Trust that the God who gives the vision will also provide the seed for those who faithfully sow.

FAQs

What will happen to our current properties?
We plan to retain and utilize our existing properties. The 366 S. Lincoln campus will continue serving as our church offices while providing expanded space for Journey Youth and Growth & Development ministries.
Is this the final phase?
No. This is Phase One of a long-term vision. It expands our current capacity while positioning Journey Church for healthy, future growth.
Will Building Beyond continue?
Yes. Our Missions and Outreach commitments remain a priority. A portion of campaign giving has been designated to continue supporting these ministries without asking our church family to stretch beyond their commitment.
Can I visit the property?
Absolutely. You're invited to walk the Prayer Path, spend time at one of the benches praying over the future campus, and dream with us about all God will do through this place. Parking is available via the driveway at 401 S. Lincoln Drive.
