HONDURAS

One of the biggest ways to show our local community that we are here for it is by getting out to simply SERVE. Twice a year (spring & fall) we go out as a congregation to a variety of projects. We partner with local organizations, schools, government agencies and citizens to help meet their practical needs. All ages can participate in projects from crafts and card making, to lawn care and landscaping; or any of the many different opportunities presented to us.

There's truly nothing like doing something for someone who can never pay you back. Our mission trips are designed to do just that - to love and give to those in great need around the world. Each year we send a team to the East African country of BURUNDI (typically during the winter months.) Also, we offer a summer season trip that targets the Caribbean and Central America.

God's Word instructs us to remember the prisoner as if we were there with him. In response to that command, we take the gospel and Journey Church into the prison system. Currently, we have two locations with great teams that serve in this way.

Vandalia Women's Prison - Second Sunday morning of each month.
Camp Avery Boys Home - Every Sunday evening.
